The Jasmine By Spice Nouv-Oh!

If you're roaming around Bexleyheath and happen to crave something bold, flavourful, and unmistakably memorable, The Jasmine By Spice Nouv-Oh! at 331 Broadway is one spot that simply demands attention. This isn’t your average Indian restaurant - it’s a vibrant fusion of innovation and tradition, with a menu that balances the comforting classics with creative surprises that actually work.

From the moment you step in, the welcoming vibe is unmistakable. Whether you're flying solo for a cozy dinner, catching up with mates, or in search of a spot that ticks the box for halal, vegan, or vegetarian options, Jasmine knows how to deliver. The setting feels refined yet unpretentious, making it equally perfect for a casual meal or something a bit more celebratory.

Let’s talk food - the main event. Starting off with Poppadoms and the house chutney selection, you’re immediately introduced to the layered, nuanced approach to flavour that runs throughout the menu. You might think it’s a simple nibble, but the freshness and depth here set the tone early.

Moving into the starters, the Ginger and Honey Chicken Wings are an absolute standout. Sweet, sticky, and packed with zing, they hit that perfect balance between comfort food and bold creativity. Craving something more traditional? The Chicken Tikka offers that smoky, chargrilled depth you’d expect - but elevated. The presentation is clean, modern, and enticing.

As for mains, there’s no shortage of crowd-pleasers. The Sea Bass Bhuna surprises with its rich spiced gravy that doesn’t overpower the delicacy of the fish - something a lot of places miss. Or, if you’re leaning into something heartier, the Roasted Leg of Lamb is a showstopper. It arrives succulent, seasoned to perfection, and served with care. Prefer heat? The Chicken Madras with Pilau Rice delivers that fiery kick while staying complex and layered.

For those looking for something off the beaten curry path, The Curryzzoni is Jasmine’s take on crossover cuisine, and honestly, it’s one of those rare dishes where Indian spice meets Italian-style presentation in a way that actually works. Unexpected, sure - but impressive.

Vegetarians and vegans won’t feel like an afterthought either. Options like the Mushroom Bhaji, Shashlick Halloumi Bhuna, or even their Mixed Leaf Salad with Sun-Dried Tomato and Pickled Gherkins add real variety, not just filler. There’s intentionality behind these dishes - they aren’t just a checkbox, they’re delicious in their own right.

The bread and rice selection deserves its own shoutout - especially the Garlic Naan, which is fluffy with just enough char to make it addictive, and the Egg Fried Rice, which surprisingly stands strong even without any sauce. And if you’re the kind of person who orders a curry just to dunk naan into it (we get it), you're in very good hands here.

No meal at Jasmine is complete without diving into dessert. The restaurant doesn’t just offer a sweet ending - it delivers one. Whether it's a classic kulfi or something more decadent like a rich chocolate cake (served warm, of course), it’s clear the dessert game is on point.

Drinks? They’ve got you. Whether you're after a glass of wine, a cold beer, a spirit-forward cocktail, or even just a strong coffee post-meal, the offerings are broad but curated. And if you’re dining late, don’t worry - Jasmine stays open for those spontaneous dinner plans that stretch into the evening.

Service-wise, it’s attentive without being overbearing. You’re never left waiting too long, but you’re also not rushed - just the right tempo. They’re friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely seem to care about your dining experience.

Accessibility is also clearly considered. There’s a wheelchair-accessible entrance and seating, and multiple dining options like dine-in, takeaway, and even no-contact delivery for those chill nights in.

In a town with its fair share of curry houses and casual eateries, The Jasmine By Spice Nouv-Oh! manages to carve out its own space - not just by doing things differently, but by doing them better. It’s not just about food here - it’s about experience, detail, and flavour that lingers long after you leave the table.

If you haven’t been to this outstanding Indian in Bexleyheath, make sure it’s your next meal. I’ve been to Indian restaurants all over london, from cheap to Michelin starred these past 45 years, and this place is at the top of the list for generous, fresh, contemporary and traditional dishes. The owner has detailed knowledge of the menus & more, backed up by an incredibly skilled chef who delivers far beyond our gastronomic desires. You hardly need to read the menu as the owner will create the perfect meal tailored to you tastes, leaving you to enjoy your time together rather than researching the menu. The restaurant has a friendly, welcoming and professional feel - also impeccably clean. Thank you for having us, we can’t wait to come back!

If you're seeking a dive into Indian cuisine with classes, flavor, and creativity, this restaurant is a must-try! Ordering online is delightful, but experiencing it in person is a marvel. The owner, also a super master chef, creates an amazing culinary experience that you'll truly appreciate. It's incredible! Easily one of the top 5 restaurants.
